The Department of Psychological Sciences at Winston-Salem State University invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2014. We seek exceptional candidates with strong commitment to undergraduate teaching excellence and mentoring undergraduate research, interdisciplinary teaching and research collaborations, and engagement and service to the broader public. While the specific area of research is open, we welcome interests from candidates with backgrounds in learning sciences, applied educational psychology, clinical/community psychology, or closely-related fields. We particularly welcome applications from candidates with backgrounds that critically engage diversity issues. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. at the time of appointment.
