The Department of Educational Psychology, Special Education, and Communication Disorders is committed to excellent college teaching and to strong research programs that are externally funded. The Department averages 5 million dollars annually in external funding from various federal funding agencies such as the Institute for Educational Sciences, the Office of Special Education programs, and the National Institutes of Health. Strong internal research support for faculty is available. Responsibilities: The applicant hired for this position will conduct research, teach primarily graduate courses, provide University and professional service, advise students, and direct graduate research in Educational Psychology.
Qualifications: Among other competencies the successful candidate will be qualified to teach graduate or undergraduate courses in adult learning, cognition, and/or instruction. In addition, candidates will be expected to possess advanced research methodological competencies necessary to conduct field-leading research. Candidates with research interests in urban contexts or with diverse populations are encouraged to apply. An earned doctorate in educational psychology or a related field is required.
