Ever wondered what it would be like to work in Congress or at a federal agency? Want to expand your public policy knowledge and skills?
APA’s Congressional and Executive Branch Fellowships prepare psychologists to contribute to the federal policy making process and make a difference on issues impacting our society. Consider applying today!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Fellows spend one year working with a member of Congress, congressional committee, or a federal agency learning how to draft legislation, gain knowledge about the federal regulatory process, manage grant programs, conduct oversight work, and prepare briefs and speeches. Fellows also attend a two-week orientation program on congressional and executive branch operations and participate in a yearlong seminar series on science and public policy issues.
All fellows receive a stipend and reimbursement for health insurance coverage, professional development, and relocation expenses during the fellowship year.
HOW CAN I APPLY?
Fellowships are open to all full APA members. Submit your application by January 2, 2025.
