Anderson University and the College of Arts and Sciences invite applications for a full-time position as Assistant Professor of Psychology. The position starts in August 2015 with nine-month contract periods and is eligible for annual reappointment with the possibility of later tenure-track appointment. Anderson University is a comprehensive, liberal-arts institution affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention. Candidates with a strong Christian value system and lifestyle and a commitment to the integration of faith and discipline are encouraged to apply.

Teaching load is 12 semester credits per semester, with advising. Specialty area is open but candidates with the ability to teach courses in developmental, educational, and/or clinical/counseling psychology are strongly encouraged to apply. Preferred candidates will have experience teaching traditional seated undergraduate courses as well as online courses.The successful candidate will also be expected to involve students into his/her line of research (as appropriate) and participate in curricular program development. A Ph.D. in Psychology is preferred, though ABDs may be considered, with defense completed prior to starting date.
