The Department of Educational Psychology at Ball State University has a full-time tenure track position in Educational or Developmental Psychology at the assistant professor level beginning August 21, 2015. Primary teaching responsibilities for this position will include graduate and undergraduate courses in educational and developmental psychology for pre-service educator preparation programs in Teachers College, with preference given to candidates who could teach graduate courses in research methods or introductory statistics. The applicant’s research specialty is open. Research, publication, and working with doctoral students are expected.

The Department of Educational Psychology (www.bsu.edu/edpsych) provides the developmental and educational psychology courses for the teacher preparation sequence and the minor in human development. Course sequences for licensure in high ability/gifted education are offered at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition, the department offers masters and doctoral programs in educational psychology and an APA-accredited/NASP-approved doctoral program and a NASP-approved masters/Ed.S program in school psychology. The department provides concentrations and coursework in research methods and statistics for graduate programs within Teachers College and across the University.

Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate in educational, school, developmental or related field of psychology or education completed by August 21, 2015.

Preferred Qualifications: University teaching experience.
