The Department of Teacher Education and Learning Sciences (TELS) in the College of Education at NC State invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Applied Developmental Science with expertise in Quantitative Research Methods.

Understanding the development of students and student learning outcomes from diverse contexts requires both a grounding in the science of human development and advanced and contemporary statistical analytic methods. The applicant for this position should have a demonstrated focus in these types of research methods and on examining the complexities of learning throughout the developmental lifespan. An ideal candidate should have a background in human development, psychometrics, and/or cognitive, developmental, or educational psychology and a demonstrated commitment to social justice and working with economically marginalized and minoritized populations. We seek a forward-thinking scholar who is able to teach advanced specialty courses in quantitative methods, such as Multilevel Modeling, Structural Equation Modeling, Latent Profile Transition Analysis, and Growth Curve Modeling.
