POSITION: The School of Educational Foundations, Leadership and Aviation, in the College of Education, Health and Aviation at Oklahoma State University is seeking a 9-month, tenure-track, Assistant Professor in Educational Psychology. The Educational Psychology program offers a PhD and MS degree in Educational Psychology with an online degree option for MS students. We emphasize the application of psychological theories of human development, learning, cognition, and motivation to applied educational contexts and services for children, youth, and adults.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications include an earned doctorate in Educational Psychology, the Learning Sciences, or a closely related field, plus a record of scholarly productivity commensurate with the candidate’s level of experience, and potential for excellence in teaching. Candidates who are ABD will be considered.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: We are seeking a scholar with a strong foundation in development, though the specific area is open. Additionally, we are seeking candidates whose scholarship has high potential for increased collaboration with the Educational Technology program, and has a scholarly interest in empirically-based solutions to reduce educational disparities of historically marginalized students within the state of Oklahoma and beyond. Experience in K-12 education will also be valued.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include: Teaching courses in development as well as learning and motivation appropriate to the candidate’s expertise and the program needs, conducting research and publishing in scholarly journals, advising and supervising graduate students, and serving the school, college, university, and profession. This position is assigned to the Stillwater campus; however, Educational Psychology faculty may also teach in an online format and occasionally on the Tulsa campus.

SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salary will be commensurate with education, experience and qualifications, contingent upon available funding. Benefits include comprehensive medical and retirement plans.
