Position:

The College of Education and Department of Educational Psychology invite applications for an appointment at the Assistant Professor rank to begin Fall, 2016. The successful candidate will join a productive and diverse Educational Psychology faculty. The position is for an applicant with expertise in Educational Psychology, Human Development, and/or Family Science disciplines. The successful candidate will be expected to immediately contribute to the continued development and success of the department by growing the Doctoral Program in Educational Psychology, particularly the Human Development and Family Science concentration through research, teaching, and mentoring of students. Instructional roles include teaching courses in human development (including learning science), family science, and educational psychology. The successful candidate will also be expected to lead, develop, or continue an ongoing research agenda in his/her area of specialization, including regular publications in quality outlets, professional presentations, and externally funded research-based activities. Service on dissertation committees is expected, as well as representation of the discipline and department via committee participation and other relevant service activities.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include an earned doctorate in Educational Psychology, Human Development, Family Science or a closely related field. ABD candidates will be considered as long as the doctorate is successfully defended prior to the start date.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with teaching and research experience, an understanding of the Child Life Specialist profession, and extramural funding (or demonstrated potential), commensurate with rank.
