Position: The College of Education and Department of Educational Psychology invite applications for an appointment at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank to begin Fall, 2016. Summer teaching is contingent on student demand and funding. The successful candidates will join a productive and diverse Educational Psychology faculty. The position is for an applicant with training in gifted and talented education. The successful candidate will be expected to immediately contribute to the continued development and success of the department and growing gifted and talented concentration through research, teaching, and mentoring of students. Instructional roles include teaching graduate level courses in gifted and talented education and educational psychology. The successful candidate will also be expected to develop or continue an ongoing research agenda in their area of specialization, including regular publications in quality outlets, professional presentations, and submission of external grant proposals. Service on dissertation committees is expected, as well as representation of the discipline and department via committee participation and other relevant service activities.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include an earned doctorate in Educational Psychology, Gifted Education, or a closely related field. ABD candidates will be considered as long as the doctorate is successfully defended prior to the start date.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with teaching and research experience, as well as external funding or the potential for external funding, commensurate with rank.
