Assistant/Associate Professor, 9 month, Tenure Track position in the Instructional Psychology and Technology (IPT) Program in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Oklahoma’s Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education. 

Program Description: The IPT program integrates the fields of educational psychology and instructional technology as the foundation for a comprehensive, multifaceted approach to the study of instruction.

The IPT program faculty is committed to facilitating the interaction and connections among cognition, motivation, and technology tools and processes to support reflective and critical approaches to instruction that are effective, responsive, and appropriate in a variety of settings and contexts.

Required qualifications: earned doctorate in Educational Psychology, Instructional Design and Technology, Learning Sciences, or related field; and evidence of scholarly potential.

Preferred qualifications:  The ideal candidate will have an integrative perspective that blends educational psychology and instructional design and technology; experience teaching college level courses; a record of publications and presentations; grant writing experience; experience developing courses. Experience or interest in K-12 education valued.

Responsibilities: Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in educational psychology/ instructional technology; conduct programmatic research; advise and mentor graduate students; pursue external funding; provide service to the University and profession.

Salary:  Commensurate with experience. 

Starting date:  8/15/2014.
