The College of Education at the University of Alabama seeks a dynamic leader to serve as Department Head for Educational Studies, leading graduate programs in Educational Psychology, School Psychology, Research Methodology, and Counseling. Having recently increased the number of tenure track faculty to 26 scholars, the department is poised to broaden its impact and prominence on the national and international stage through engaged research, teaching, and service. The department offers graduate programs in four programmatic areas as well as a newly approved undergraduate degree in Educational Neuroscience. We are seeking a strong leader with a national/international record of scholarship and extramural funding, as well as a strong commitment to shared governance, diversity, and equity.
