The Department of Education at the University of York is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Psychology in Education. We are open to applicants from all fields of psychology applied to education but are especially interested in appointing a candidate with research and/or a professional background in mental health and well-being (MHWB) in education (e.g., mental and emotional health in children or adolescents, mental health interventions in schools, trauma and resilience, counselling and therapy, psychopathology). The successful candidate will carry out and have experience of research in an area of MHWB or psychology applied to educational contexts, and contribute to and have experience of teaching and supervision on the BPS-accredited BSc and MSc Psychology in Education programmes.

A PhD (or near completion) in the field of psychology or mental health and well-being or education with a focus on psychology or MHWB is essential. The new Lecturer will be a member of the Psychology in Education Research Centre (PERC) http://www.york.ac.uk/education/research/perc/

The salary will be in the range £38,183 – £46,924 a year and the post is available on a full time (37 hours a week), open contract basis.
