The T. Denny Sanford School of Social and Family Dynamics http://thesanfordschool.org invites applications for a full-time 12-month Post-Doctoral Research Fellow starting August 16, 2014 (subsequent annual renewal is possible contingent upon performance, the needs of the project and university, and the availability of resources). By time of appointment, successful candidates must have a PhD in human development, psychology, or education, or related field and have both substantive and methodological training in research related to school adjustment for young at-risk children. Evidence of expertise in (1) advanced quantitative methods and (2) working with complex longitudinal multi-level data sets is required. This position entails working with Professor Richard Fabes and other faculty, research scientists, and graduate students on projects involving young children’s (including those considered at-risk) social and academic development. Responsibilities include analyzing existing longitudinal data sets, writing and contributing to manuscripts and grant applications, and assisting in the development of new innovative research initiatives. Preference will be given to candidates who have expertise in Head Start research.
