Lawrence University invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow in educational psychology or the learning sciences. The fellowship would be from August 2015 to June 2017 (two years), with a possible extension or renewal.
The fellow would be expected to teach up to four education studies courses per year: two offerings of Psychology of Learning, one of Educating All Learners (mixing academic literacy with differentiating instruction for special needs), and a possible topics course in the fellow’s area of research or expertise. Depending on interest, the fellow could contribute to student teaching supervision and the student teaching seminar, teach in Lawrence’s nationally renowned Freshman Studies program, or contribute to university initiatives applying the Learning Sciences to the advancement of liberal learning.
Required qualifications include an earned or expected doctorate in educational psychology or the learning sciences and a commitment to teaching in a liberal arts setting. Experience as a K-12 teacher would strengthen the application.
