Salary: Level A – A$80,239 – A$85,824 p.a. or Level B A$90,126 – A$106,246 per annum (plus 17% employer superannuation and leave loading)
A research-intensive school within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of New South Wales (one of Australia’s leading universities), the School of Education offers a vibrant, energetic and expanding research culture that encompasses major research groups (e.g., in cognitive load, gifted and talented, assessment, special education).
With the appointment of Professor Andrew Martin as Research Professor beginning January 2014, the School will extend its research strength to the areas of motivation, engagement, achievement, and quantitative methods. Directed by Professor Andrew Martin, the successful applicant will primarily conduct research, publish in peer reviewed journals (or similar outlets), supervise research students, and contribute to the collaborative research program.
The emphasis of this position will be on academic publishing and so is an ideal opportunity for the successful applicant to substantially build on their research track record (and some teaching duties, if appointed at Level B) in educational/development psychology.
This position is available on a full time (35 hours per week) basis for a fixed term period of 3 years. The successful applicant is expected to commence in January 2014.
