We are seeking applicants for a postdoctoral research associate position. The postdoc will work collaboratively on research investigating the cognitive and developmental processes that contribute to children’s (mis)understanding of mathematics. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in psychology, cognitive science, or mathematics education at the time of appointment. A strong research record and previous experience working with children are highly desirable. The postdoc will be expected to participate in an active lab group that has general research interests in symbolic reasoning, numerical representation, concept construction, skill acquisition, problem solving, and mathematics learning. Two primary responsibilities will be to collaborate on IES- and NSF-funded research on children’s understanding of mathematical equivalence. You can find out more about the lab by visiting our website: http://www.nd.edu/~nmcneil. Interested applicants should send a CV, research statement, and names of three recommenders to Nicole McNeil (nmcneil@nd.edu).

Applications will be received until the position is filled. Start date is negotiable.
