The Department of Psychology at Arizona State University invites applications for two Postdoctoral Research Scholars in the Science of Learning and Educational Technologies (SoLET) Laboratory directed by Danielle McNamara. The postdoctoral research scholars will be working on projects funded by the IES and ONR to (a) design and develop tutoring modules and (b) explore factors influencing students’ performance in comprehension, writing, and mathematics. The candidates will be involved in studies with elementary, high school, and college students including teachers and schools across multiple sites in AZ, NH, MN, and GA. Ideal candidates will have expertise in experimental and quantitative methods and be interested in working in a collaborative research lab, particularly one focusing on learning and cognitive sciences. Ideal candidates will have specific expertise and experience in two or more of the following areas: educational technology design and assessment, game design, intelligent/adaptive tutoring systems, classroom and school-based research. The positions are full-time, benefits-eligible appointment with no tenure implications. Anticipated start date is January 1, 2020.

The qualification for these positions: must have earned a Ph.D. in learning sciences, educational psychology, computer science, data analytics, human factors, or psychology, or in a related field within the past four years.
