The Theory into Practice (TIP) Postdoctoral Scholar works with faculty that are conducting translational research in education (i.e., research that brings theory and research into practice). The postdoctoral scholar will work with faculty on:

(a) data analysis on current translational grant-funded projects
(b) developing and submitting new grant proposals (primarily to federal agencies and major foundations)
to request funding to conduct new translational studies, and
(c) disseminating results of translational education research to researchers, practitioners, and
policymakers.

There also may be opportunities to teach courses in Educational Psychology or related areas (either at the undergraduate or the graduate level). The initial appointment is for one year (12 months), with possible renewal for a second year based on successful performance.

Required Qualifications
Experience in education research, including advanced methodological skills. Ideally candidates will have expertise in both quantitative methodologies (e.g., structural equation modeling, multilevel regression, survey development validation, item-response theory, etc.) and qualitative methodologies. Prior experience with translational research is desirable.

Required Education: Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) from an accredited college or university in an area of Education or a related field before the starting date of the position.
