Operating across two campuses in metropolitan Melbourne, the Faculty offers a diverse and innovative curriculum that responds to international and local community needs, producing graduates who lead professional practice, public debate, policy and community action around the world.

Among our programs are undergraduate and masters teacher education degrees in early childhood, primary, and secondary education and a wide range of postgraduate coursework and research degrees in education, counselling, psychology and educational and organisational leadership. The Faculty of Education seeks to appoint research leaders as Professors of Education (Level E) who will continue to advance its diverse contributions to research and teaching.

Our professors work towards advancing and achieving the Faculty’s strategic research priorities through a program of research focused on their cognate area. Consideration for an appointment in this position requires an international track record of high impact ground-breaking scholarly activities, undertaken individually and collaboratively.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • An outstanding contribution to all activities of the organisational unit and play a significant role within their profession or discipline
  • Engage in active and strategic activities within your area of expertise in Education
  • A strong track record in publications in leading international journals
  • A strong track record documenting the ability to teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Evidence of the ability to secure external research funding
  • In addition, this role will also allow you to contribute to the Faculty’s research culture, and to its research funding outcomes and impact.
