Description: Under the direction of the Institutional Research Director, the Research Analyst II will be responsible for the more difficult and complex work of staff responsible for extracting, compiling, analyzing data and creating reports, dashboards, and data visualizations about students, academic programs, courses, personnel, and any other aspects of the university as requested. The department is especially interested in candidates who can work independently and is analytical, able to think in a logical, sequential manner, as evidenced by the ability to 1) write codes, scripts, or syntaxes; 2) integrate data from multiple sources, and; 3) troubleshoot data anomalies and data integrity issues. The department is especially interested in candidates who possesses a strong knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods, as well as descriptive and inferential statistics using software such as SAS highly desirable or SPSS. The department is especially interested in candidates who possesses strong team customer-service attitude, able to explain technical and statistical information in understandable terms, and fully committed to facilitating data-driven decisions for enhanced student success.
Minimum Position Qualifications: Master’s degree and three years of experience in a relevant area such as statistics, computer science, education, information science, business analytics, psychology, or other social science field.
Hiring Range: up to $70,000 per year
