The Department of Educational Foundations and Counseling Programs in Hunter College’s School of Education seeks candidates for a tenure track position in Assessment effective January 2016.
Duties associated with this position include:
1) engaging in research, scholarly writing and grant work
2) teaching graduate courses in our Teacher Education and Educational Psychology programs
3) serving on program, department, school, college and university committees, where appropriate
4) student advisement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Hiring rank is open at the Assistant Professor level. All candidates must have an earned Ph.D. in assessment and measurement, measurement and evaluation, educational psychology, or an earned doctorate in a related field.
The ideal candidate will have a strong research agenda that relates to important questions about applied cognitive sciences, learning, teaching, and/or educational policy. The ideal candidate will also be able to teach graduate-level assessment courses in early childhood or elementary education and graduate-level courses in educational psychology.
As a public urban institution, we also seek candidates who have a demonstrated commitment to work in multicultural and urban settings.

Compensation for this position falls within the following salary range:
Assistant Professor: $42, 873-$81, 645
