The Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Georgia invites applications a tenure-track Assistant Professor with expertise in Quantitative Methodology to begin in August 2016.  

The mission of the Quantitative Methodology program is to advance the theory and practice of measurement and statistics in the social and behavioral sciences. The program provides graduate training in research design and analysis as well as advanced training in psychometrics, educational assessment, and learning analytics. The area of quantitative methodology specialization for the candidate’s research and teaching assignment is open, with a preference for a scholar whose research focuses on advancing contemporary methodology to address critical needs in the assessment and measurement of complex traits and behaviors.

Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will be expected to maintain a high-quality research program, seek external funding, mentor students, direct theses and dissertations, participate in faculty governance, and contribute to the collegial community of the QM program. This position requires teaching the equivalent of two graduate-level courses per semester in the program.

Required Qualifications:

Qualifications include an earned doctorate at the time of employment with a specialization in educational assessment and measurement, quantitative psychology, educational statistics, or a closely related field; a strong record of scholarly research in an area relevant to the QM program; and evidence that suggests strong promise for securing external funding to support that research.

Appointment 

The appointment will begin the 2016-17 academic year on 8 August 2016.
